About the unit - Situated close to everything in the heart of the Valley, but in a quiet, secluded location. Front balcony overlooks the pool, rear courtyard a good place to sit and relax. The apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and all modern appliances, including dishwasher, airconditioning, washing machine and dryer.
The room is unfurnished so you'll just need a bed - the rest of the apartment is fully furnished. The room comfortably fits a queen size bed and has a large cupboard with hanging space and shelving. The room has direct access to the rear courtyard.
There is no carpark space available with the unit and street parking is very limited. The room would really only suit someone who does not have a car. Public transport is very close by with buses running regularly on Brunswick St or a short walk to the Valley railway station.
About me - I am 36, single, professional guy, working Monday to Friday, office hours. I own the apartment. I am generally home at nights during the week, and mostly out and about on weekends. I live a relatively quiet life, although I enjoy having friends over for dinner parties from time to time and socialising at home or out. I like to keep the apartment neat and tidy.
About my ideal flatmate - I think the most important thing about a flatmate is to have respect for the person you are living with and someone who can communicate openly and honestly.
I am looking for someone responsible, honest and trustworthy, someone who can pay the rent on time, someone to share basic household cleaning, someone who will keep the apartment neat and tidy.
I'd like to have someone I can come home and chat with, without necessarily living in each other's pockets. So I'd probably prefer someone who is independent and has their own life. But, if we click, I would be open to doing things together socially.
