It’s a 3 bedrooms flat located on the 2nd floor. Furniture in the room is provided, but you can bring your own if you prefer. All white goods are provided; but if you prefer your own white goods, then PLEASE DON’T APPLY (“strange but true”: someone actually wanted to use their own washer!). Insulation is very good, because the building is double brick.
The room is $110pwk and rent is paid on a monthly basis. Other bills are split equally among 3 people each month. We have ADSL2+ internet service; gas cooking and waters; in-built wardrobes; and there is NO COLD WATER BILL.
********* Transportation / Lifestyle *********
It takes literally 5 minutes to walk to Monash University’s Clayton Campus. It's also very close to public transportation and Clayton Central (Supermarkets; Asian grocers; restaurants; Post Office; hospital and health clinics; Police Station; train station; banks; library; swimming pool; cinema; bowling alley; gym…etc; and many of these are located within the University Campus itself and once again, we are only 5 minutes walking distance away from campus).
If you rely on public transportation to get you around, then it’s very convenient. Buses and trains are all very close and depending on which way you’re going (towards or away from the city), you may only need to buy zone 1 tickets.
There are a couple of great restaurants in Clayton and a few within walking distance. So if you’re a foodie (like me) and love a variety of Asian food, then you’ll definitely love living here.
********* Flatmates *********
We’re in our mid-20s; clean but not obsessive; easy going and love to have a laugh, but we’re not party animals (if you’re looking for a place to party, then DON’T APPLY). None of us smoke or drink, but it’s not a deal breaker if you do ¬– as long and you can handle your liquor and smoke outside, then it’s cool.
Most importantly, we pay our rent and bills on time; respect others’ properties and privacy.
